Stay Reservation & Itinerary Data
Check-in and check-out dates, number of guests (adults, children), guest requests, property location coordinates, and booking confirmations.
Device & Technical Metrics
IP address, device specifications, browser type, referral domain, and search queries (e.g. farmstay destinations, amenities).
3. WhatsApp Integration & Meta Disclosures
MyFarmstay.co utilizes the WhatsApp Business Cloud API, hosted and operated by Meta Platforms, Inc., to provide fast, passwordless login and crucial reservation notifications.
Purpose of WhatsApp Phone Number Processing
- Passwordless OTP Verification: Delivering temporary 6-digit One-Time Passwords (OTPs) directly to your WhatsApp app to verify your identity and log you into your account without passwords.
- Reservation Confirmations & Check-In Directions: Sending immediate booking vouchers, GPS coordinates, check-in instructions, and host contact numbers after a stay is reserved.
- Host Booking Alerts: Alerting farmstay hosts in real time when a new booking request is confirmed.
- Customer Support: Assisting you via WhatsApp with customer service requests initiated by you.
Role of Meta Platforms, Inc.
When you authenticate or receive booking notifications via WhatsApp, your phone number and message contents are processed securely through Meta’s cloud API servers. Meta operates as a communications service provider adhering to the WhatsApp Privacy Policy and Meta Privacy Policy .
User Consent & Opt-Out (Unsubscribe) Mechanism
You give explicit opt-in consent to receive WhatsApp messages when you input your phone number to sign in or confirm a farmstay booking.
Zero Third-Party Marketing Sales
We never sell, lease, or rent your phone number to third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.

6. Data Retention & Security
Security: All transmissions between your browser and our servers use TLS 1.3 encryption. Passwords and sensitive tokens are encrypted and salted.
OTP Expiration: WhatsApp verification OTPs expire automatically within 5 minutes. Expired tokens cannot be used and are removed from active authentication stores.
Reservation History: Booking logs and invoices are retained as required by Indian taxation, accounting, and hospitality records legislation.
